THE NEW VANTAGE WEBPOINT™ PROVIDES TOUCH SCREEN AUTOMATION FROM ANY INTERNET DEVICE

Vantage WebPoint™ is the convergence of home networking and home automation. It is the home networking software that finally allows control and programming of full-featured automation from a simple personal digital assistant (PDA), Web pad or personal computer (PC).

Until now, integrating a touch screen with a control system has required complicated programming codes in proprietary languages. The options have primarily been very expensive third party products. Now with WebPoint, any network-enabled device can become part of the home control network.

Once connected to the network, WebPoint automatically updates itself with current Vantage programming. Within minutes any device on the Vantage system can then be accessed and controlled. This means WebPoint can orchestrate actions on any device that can be controlled by: RS-232, infrared emitters, DMX, high or low voltage, electronic or mechanical relays and variable voltage output. Devices that use these interfaces include virtually all A/V equipment, HVAC equipment, security systems and motorized devices such as drapes, blinds and pumps.

The WebPoint is an exciting new prospect for the home automation industry. It cuts down on installation time, expands design options and gives the homeowner more freedom to make changes without the fear of altering essential programming.

Programming personal preferences can be done without any worries or training. Adjustments that are done using WebPoint could be removed and the Vantage system will continue to function as originally programmed.

Adjustments are made by simply moving a slider or changing the state of an on/off switch. Once the scene has been set to the desired levels it can be saved as a macro. Then any time in the future that the macro button is pressed all of the desired components will adjust to the saved preferences.

Compared to other interfaces, WebPoint meets and exceeds expectations. Any size home can integrate the WebPoint functionality and include up to 32 Web devices on one Vantage system. Other features include definable user access, easy programming of delays or timed events and varied themes to accommodate different users and devices.
