Welcom in the world of Vantage

Today, Vantage Controls has set an unprecidented standard for the home theatre of the new millennium. TheatrePoint integrates the complete home theater into every home automation system.

THEATRE POINT FRONT

1- LCD Screen
TheatrePoint has a small screen and buttons on its face. They are used to test and monitor IR output, relay closure and general system diagnostics.
The buttons can also be used for the setup of the current sensing feature.

2 - IR Receiver
With a built-in IR receiver, TheatrePoint can receive IR codes from a Vantage Remote. This allows instant control of any load or device connected to the Vantage System, including 3rd party devices.

3 - IR Channel LED Feedback
This sleek display allows the user to receive a visual confirmation when an IR signal is sent. Each of the 12 IR parts on the back of the unit has a corresponding LED on the front which lights up to indicate signal transmissions.

4 - RS-232 LED feedback
With integration, it is imperative for the installer to always know when RS-232 strings are sent or received. This front display LED eliminates the guesswork by lighting up when strings come in or go out.

5 - Station Bus Connection
TheatrePoint offers immediate access to the Vantage system. Behind the logo is a quick connection to the simple, yet powerful, two-wire Vantage station bus. This connection provides the convenience of in-room modifications to system programming.

6 - Surge Protection
The “reset” switch allows the user to re-initiate TheatrePoint when a surge has tripped the built-in circuit. This ensures the integrity and protection of TheatrePoint and all devices plugged into it.

THEATRE POINT BACK

1- Standard 120V Plug
TheatrePoint was designed to compliment the home theater by using standard connections and easily fitting in most equipment racks. Like other equipment, it draws its power from a standard 120V AC wall receptacle (also available with 240V AC). No additional wiring is required.

2 - Current Sensors
Power state tracking is an important part of synchronizing equipment with the control system. TheatrePoint (101) features six current sensing plugs to monitor the on/off state of each attached component. With this feature, turning on a stereo receiver could have a programmed response to initiate additional actions on the Vantage system.

3 - Contact Inputs
Contact inputs on the TheatrePoint monitor the state of sensors and closures. With six contact inputs on the 101 model and twelve on the 201, TheatrePoint integrates motion sensors, door sensors, light sensors and can be used in conjunction with SmartLink probes to monitor the on/off state of nearly any device.

4 - Low Voltage Relays
TheatrePoint provides full scene control with six low voltage relays. These send commands to close the blinds, lower the projector and complete any other action on devices that need an on/off command to function.

5 - Infrared Emitters
TheatrePoint can control 12 different A/V devices, each with it’s own unique IR emitter channel. Virtually any device can be controlled with a remote control, can be controlled by Vantage when connected to an IR emitter port

6 - RS-232 Ports
Full -featured two-way communication is easily facilitated with TheatrePoint through two RS-232 ports. Complex commands are sent and received to create the perfect mood for the home theater.

7 – Station Bus
Communication on the Vantage system is done by a simple non-polarized 2-wire bus. Full-featured automation is achieved through the most installer-friendly available today. Programming changes can be made through the station bus connection on either the front or back of TheatrePoint. The station bus can be connected to a Vantage C-Box or Master Controller for Wired or wireless control.
